JTBC has dropped a deeply emotional poster for its upcoming healing drama Lost featuring Ryu Jun-yeol and Jeon Do-yeon.

Lost, also known as Human Disqualification, tells the stories of two people who are lost in life and do not have the will to live. The drama aims to shine a light on the stories of ordinary people who have worked hard in their lives but feel as if they have not amounted to anything. When these two characters have a chance encounter, they find unexpected comfort in each other. Lost marks its leading stars’ Ryu and Jeon’s comeback to the small screen after five years.

The newly released poster features Jeon Do-yeon (The Good Wife) and Ryu Jun-yeol (Lucky Romance) wearing muted shades of light brown and grey, representing the lack of color in their lives. Jeon Do-yeon, who plays a ghostwriter named Bu-jeong, who dreams of writing original fiction but encounters a failure, is seen looking ahead with a forlorn look on her face. Ryu Jun-yeol, who plays Kang-jae, a man who grew up in poverty and wants to be rich, is seen staring at the viewer with a dejected look on his face. The caption on the poster reads, “Where are we now?” reflecting the feeling of being lost that these characters feel. The poster manages to invoke interest in what kind of first meeting will happen between Bu-jeong and Kang-jae, who live similar but lonely lives.

Lost will premiere in September 2021. It marks veteran Korean film director and screenwriter Hur Jin-ho’s foray into directing a TV drama. The script for the drama has been penned by Kim Ji-hye of My Love, My Bride (2014) fame.
